Well I have finally finished a drawing. I wasn't planning to draw another Natalie just yet, but found myself grabbing this reference picture when I discovered I was going to the hospital with my husband and mother for my Dad to get an arteriogram a few weeks ago. I guess I just needed a friendly face to pass the time.

Please be gentle on the critiques as I know it has flaws. It just felt good to finish something!

Daily DeviationNatalie Portman as Anne Boleyn by *khinson shows that a portrait from the profile view can really draw in a viewer-- it really has a lot to say, and the artist brilliantly captured emotion while really using lights and shadows as her ally. I've yet to see the movie but I (read the book) and think it would be a hard part to pull off

It's beautiful, you said it has flaws, but I don't nessecarily see any. This drawing has a lot of graphite (if that's what you used), what I mean is, it's very nice that you drew a real scene (I usually would leave out the window, etc.) It looks like Portman, and you captured a nice expression. This is a :+fav:!
