Coruscant Queen Amidala 2by *khinson

I really was tempted to name this one Taco Head Padme, but thought I better not. I started this drawing in April, but stopped working on it to do another project for someone else. Hopefully I’ll be able to post that drawing later on in the year. This is the first time since 2004 that I’ve drawn Queen Amidala in the ceremonial face paint. I forgot how aggravating it was to shade her face like that! Also, the strange angle of her face added to the difficulty for me. Nonetheless I did enjoy working on this drawing.

This is on 9 x 12 Bristol board using 2H to 6B pencils, Kleenex, blending stumps and kneaded erasers. It took about 20 hours of actual drawing time.

Coruscant Queen Amidala 2 by *khinson is a portrait captured by the skill and depth of the artist who creates wonderful art that is only just lifelike and only just drawing.
